New Apartment and Photo Shoot Pics

Here are pictures of our apartment, mostly so my mom and Cassidy can see! Our apartment isn't exactly how I want it yet but I figure I have a lot of time to add color, curtains, etc. to the space!

Yesterday I was looking for a place to have West's pictures done when David suggested we just take them ourselves. So we ran outside and snapped a few shots!

2 month stats and Baby Blessing

West was blessed on October 30th. My dad came down as well as David's dad. Danielle and Tyler came too and also our friends Steve and Mollie. David's Grammy and Aunt Diannee were there too! It was so fun to have everyone here!!

West had his 2 month checkup yesterday. And his shots- I cried when he was getting them because he was smiling up at me so big before and I felt like a traitor!! My poor baby.

Here are his stats:
14 lbs 15 oz (99th Percentile)
25 inches long (98th Percentile)
54th Percentile for his head

We love our baby West!

West David Woodland

I guess when I said I would post more pictures when I wasn't so tired I didn't realize this whole week would be tiring!! Here are some pictures of our sweet little boy. He really is sweet, last night when I was up with him he didn't cry once- not when he was hungry or having his diaper changed!! He is one week old today and we are so so happy to have him here! I laugh now at the picture where I am all excited to be there at the hospital, I was SO naive about what the next 24 hours would be like... hard! I feel sooo blessed to have West here though, he was back up to his birth weight at 5 days old so we are excited at his growth! Every nurse or Dr. that sees him says he is going to be a big boy, and that is great!

275 down

5 more days to go!! I am both ready and not ready to have this little guy here. I am physically ready for him to be here but I keep thinking of all the things moms know and I am NOT ready!! Mothers are supposed to be wise and all-knowing, right? I feel like I don't have a clue!!! I guess I still have a few years until he starts to catch up and maybe I will figure out some things about life by then!!

FINAL COUNTDOWN

2 weeks left until baby boy Woodland is born! We are excited!

An update for those who don't know we officially moved to California at the end of June and have been living with David's sweet Grammy. David has been traveling a lot for work and I didn't want to be by myself in a new place while being so pregnant! We will get a place closer to David's work in September or October.

We are only 1 hour from my cousin Danielle in Sacramento which is AMAZING. I really love David's Aunt and cousins too so that makes life very fun!

I have blogger on my phone now so hopefully I will be better about blogging/ posting pictures... especially when this little kicker is born!

I love Easter

"I think of how dark that Friday was when Christ was lifted up on the cross.

On that terrible Friday the earth shook and grew dark. Frightful storms lashed at the earth.

Those evil men who sought His life rejoiced. Now that Jesus was no more, surely those who followed Him would disperse. On that day they stood triumphant.

On that day the veil of the temple was rent in twain.

Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Jesus, were both overcome with grief and despair. The superb man they had loved and honored hung lifeless upon the cross.

On that Friday the Apostles were devastated. Jesus, their Savior—the man who had walked on water and raised the dead—was Himself at the mercy of wicked men. They watched helplessly as He was overcome by His enemies.

On that Friday the Savior of mankind was humiliated and bruised, abused and reviled.

It was a Friday filled with devastating, consuming sorrow that gnawed at the souls of those who loved and honored the Son of God.

I think that of all the days since the beginning of this world’s history, that Friday was the darkest.

But the doom of that day did not endure.

The despair did not linger because on Sunday, the resurrected Lord burst the bonds of death. He ascended from the grave and appeared gloriously triumphant as the Savior of all mankind.

And in an instant the eyes that had been filled with ever-flowing tears dried. The lips that had whispered prayers of distress and grief now filled the air with wondrous praise, for Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God, stood before them as the firstfruits of the Resurrection, the proof that death is merely the beginning of a new and wondrous existence.

Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays.

But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.

No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come."

Still in College?

I had a dream last night that I was still in college and I had all these classes I didn't realize I had signed up for, once I did figure it out I found I had 3 hours to complete like 10 assignments for all of these classes. It was awful! Does anyone else have these? Do they ever go away?
